چکیده

Background: Reported cases of Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) are becoming more and frequent. The risk hypercoagulability associated with IPMN is not clearly established in the literature as it was only reported four cases. Therefore, we present a unique case patient who subsequently developed acute pulmonary embolism (PE) deep venous thrombosis (DVT). Case presentation: A 70-year-old healthy female complained palpitation, chest pain, dyspnea at rest. She had normal vital signs findings on physical examination. Laboratory tests showed an increase D-Dimer level 3,730 ng/mL fibrinogen equivalent unit (FEU). Bilateral DVT ultrasound (DVT-US) lower extremities positive for calf right extremity involving soleal vein. CT-PE IV contrast remarkable segmental subsegmental arteries thrombosis. started heparin drip then transitioned to rivaroxaban treatment PE DVT. discharged stable condition outpatient follow-up. Conclusion: pancreas exocrine pancreatic often detected Computed Tomography (CT) scan or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). It usually non-malignant but found be prone progress into cancer other types cysts. An increased pre-malignant lesions such has yet been well established. As far know, this report first article presenting both relatively individual no prior factor hypercoagulability. Although there scattered evidence suggesting thromboembolic events IPMN, highlights importance close monitoring these patients, especially those have factors

Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm of the pancreas associated with neuroendocrine tumor: A case report

INTRODUCTION Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm is an uncommon cystic tumor of pancreas that can be associated with ductal adenocarcinoma. Coexistence of pancreatic IPMN and neuroendocrine tumor is very rare. Here, we report the imaging features of mixed type intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasia of the pancreas with high grade dysplasia together with neuroendocrine carcinoma and perfor...

A case of annular pancreas accompanied with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm-case report.

OBJECTIVES Annular pancreas is a rare congenital anomaly characterized by pancreatic tissues wrapping completely or incompletely around the descending duodenum. In most patients with annular pancreas, onset occurs in early childhood. Adults with annular pancreas are prone to duodenal ulcers and pancreatitis. Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) is a type of papillary mucinous secretor...

Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm.

A 75-year-old male with a history of dyslipidemia, no alcohol abuse, acute pericarditis and two pancreatitis episodes 16 and 3 years ago, consulted due to a new pancreatitis episode (amylase 536 IU/l). Abdominal CT and MRI showed irregular, rosary-like dilatation of the duct of Wirsung in the body and tail (Fig. 1). In the pancreatic body-tail, echoendoscopy revealed a 15-mm duct of Wirsung wit...

Concomitant pancreatic endocrine neoplasm and intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm: a case report and literature review

We report a case of concomitant pancreatic endocrine neoplasm (PEN) and intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN). A 74-year-old man had been followed-up for mixed-type IPMN for 10 years. Recent magnetic resonance images revealed an increase in size of the branch duct IPMN in the pancreas head, while the dilation of the main pancreatic duct showed minimal change. Although contrast-enhanced...
